Terms of service
These terms cover playing MYSTERY CREW and buying paid cases. They are written to be read. Last updated: 17 September 2026.
Who we are
mysterycrew.games is operated by AES Tech AB (org. nr 559507-2157), Stockholm, Sweden. Write to [email protected] about anything on this page.
Playing
Free cases and the sample need no account and no payment. Please don't disrupt rooms that aren't yours, overload the service or try to get around a paid case's lock. We may close rooms that do.
Buying a case
Paid cases are one-time purchases, not subscriptions. The price shown includes VAT. Payment is handled by our reseller, Polar, which is the seller on your receipt and charges any tax; its checkout terms apply to the payment itself.
After payment you receive a licence key by email. One key opens one case for three game nights. A night is used when the host starts the game, not when a room is opened. Restarting or rebuilding the room later the same night does not use another night.
A key is for your own game nights — with friends, family or colleagues, as many different crews as you have nights. Please don't publish or resell it, or use it for public events that charge entry without asking us first.
Refunds
If you haven't started a game with your key, we refund it in full — just reply to your receipt or write to us. If a problem on our side stopped your crew from playing, we refund that too. Once a case has been played, the purchase isn't refundable just because the story didn't appeal: the free cases are there so you can try the format first. A refunded key stops working. None of this limits your rights under consumer law.
Optional AI questions
Some cases let the host switch on free-text questions to a witness, answered with AI. Replies can be imperfect, and every case can be completed with AI switched off. See the privacy policy for what is sent.
Availability
MYSTERY CREW runs online, so playing needs a working connection and a current browser. We work to keep it available but can't promise it is never interrupted. If we ever stop offering a paid case, we will refund keys that still have unused nights.
Content
The stories, puzzles, art, audio and code belong to AES Tech AB or its licensors. Buying a key gives you the right to play, not to copy or redistribute the case.
Liability and law
To the extent the law allows, the service is provided as is, and we are not liable for indirect losses. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded, or the mandatory consumer protections of the country you live in. Swedish law governs these terms.
Changes
If these terms change, the date at the top changes with them. A purchase keeps the terms that applied when you made it.
