MYSTERY CREW

How to play MYSTERY CREW

MYSTERY CREW cases are cooperative mysteries for one shared screen and every player's phone. One screen is the board; every phone holds a different piece of the case. Everyone sees something. No one sees everything.

Setting up

Open a case from the shelf on a laptop or TV and choose HOST ON THIS SCREEN — that screen becomes the board. Everyone else scans the QR code with their phone and takes a seat. Two to six players; no accounts, no downloads.

Playing

The board tells the story and holds each task. Your phone holds clue papers only you can see — read them aloud, in your own words. Papers can be passed when someone's hands fit the work better. Any player can submit the crew's answer, and the board shows each answer as it is typed. Pin anything worth sharing from the NOTES tab; notes appear on the board beside the task.

Hints, skips, and the clock

Hints are always available. Using them never takes away the main ending. A task can be skipped from the board. The standard clock runs 65 to 85 minutes, depending on the case, and pauses whenever the story is on screen, so nobody is rushed through reading or a short break. Relaxed mode has no clock at all. At the end, the board and every phone show your crew's case time. Nothing you discover is ever lost — every ending finishes the story.

Playing remotely

One player hosts and shares the board over any video call; everyone joins on their phones as usual. Reading your papers aloud is the game, so a voice channel is all you need.

Alone right now?

The quick sample on the front page plays on a single device and shows you the format without opening a real case. Real cases are one-time stories — gather your crew before you break the seal.
